::age gap::

H.A.R.V.E.Y

just celebrated his birthday last june8~9 at embassy, fort bonifacio, and as promised, we joined in his partee...

it was a first for lizeth and myself to join the ism kids in a party outside school and i think it was better than i expected... *wink

one cannot help to think about age during birthday celebs and this particular celebration made me think about how big or small of a difference our age is with these 'kids.' i still love the music... i still love the crowd... i still love the dancing... and i still love the 'gatorade.' bwahaha! maybe it's true that these 'kids' keep me young... and i thank them for it ;)

...
was just finished chatting with good bud rinah a couple of minutes ago and she was ranting non-stop about work and how stressful it is to be in the corporate world, trying to meet deadlines and catch-up with all the deliverables that her boss is asking of her... she has 'no choice' for now... she needs to think things through and decide on her next steps...

rinah's younger than i am -- by 2 years i think... but it seems that she's had more mature decisions to make, more ground-breaking moments to face, more serious matters to think about. m quite thankful i don't have to have these stresses in my work~life...

it made me realize (as if i haven't said it enough), that i love my job... for many reasons, but more than anything else, because of the students that make me inis, cry, laugh, share, ponder, guide. they always make me smile. and at the end of the day, i feel good for having touched these kids' lives during their crucial years... and it feels good when they show their gratitude through words, through hugs, through small gifts, through smiles.

i loved spending a few hours of my party life with these kids at embassy... it was a chance to show a different side of me.
~ thanks harvey for everything. we'll be your friends always ;) good luck on your future and i know that you will definitely go far in life! congratulations on your graduation and happy birthday! iluvya! ~
